Abortion and the relationship of a human man and woman

Abortion marks the death
of the female/male relationship
IT IS THE ULTIMATE REPRISAL

There is no equality in abortion
only death
willed by the woman
and willed with the help of the community

Who is to give the man
his rightful say
in this situation?

And if both man and woman
together negate
their human life
and throw it away
what does this show?

SURELY IT SHOWS A LACK OF RELATIONSHIP
IN OUR LIFE TODAY
REFLECTED, RATIFIED AND BLESSED BY
THE COMMUNITY

The life blood of any body
is the relationship flowing
between each part and bringing
food to make the body grow

You can take this body
literally (a foetus)
or in a wider sense
any body of people
starting with a marriage
and ending with the world

Today, the life blood of our bodies
(our foetus babies, as well as other bodies)
is contaminated by the waste and infection
of hate, anger and resentment

The body sweats in fever, the eyes bright
with unshed tears
the stomach heavy with nausea
the head beating like a drum
the heart constricted
the intellect inert

The death cries of these bodies
ring in our ears
those of us who traipse off to Mass
and neglect teaching (by word and action)
love

There is no respect for the dead today
A death certificate for a marriage
but no white stone marked with love
for the baby
In the case of the foetus
the sewer is the last resting place
of love in our world

The death of the female/male relationship
of one woman and one man in love is covered over by the waters
of the sewer, whereas Jesus wants it covered over by His Blood
