WELCOME!
Dear Lord, if I could find the words,
I'd write for You a poem;
I'd pour out all the love I feel
and lay it at Your throne.
I'd have to step in the shadows
and slip in quietly,
for You are far too holy, Lord,
to gaze on one like me.
Yet somehow, You'd accept my words,
unworthy notes of praise,
and lift Your hand to bid me come
and look into Your face.
I could not raise my eyes, my God,
my sins would blot the sun;
but then I'd see at Your right hand,
the lovely nail-scarred One.
And I'd recall, He paid the price,
He was the offering dove,
and I am welcome at Your throne
because of Jesus' love!
Gratefully, Your child, Connie
This has worlds of wisdom in it, Connie...thank you!
And, beautifully said, I might add.
I love the beauty of your faith and poetry, dear Connie,
and I approach the Throne with you, in utter awe and reverence, as we witness the Excellence, of the One, with nail-scarred hands.
Love&Blessings, Rhonda
