              WORDS OF HEALING; 
                  WORDS OF LOVE

The humblest man can change the world
with a thoughtful and kindly word.

The tongue of the wise brings healing balm
when its cheering voice is heard.

For those bowed low with grief and woe
long for someone to love them, it's true ,

The kind word you speak may rescue a soul,
And the heart of the downcast
will flourish  anew.

 

"Reckless words pierce
like a sword,
but the tongue of the wise
brings healing."

Proverbs 12:18

Yes my sis, this is perfect and so true. No need to change anything. Your message was very beautifully spoken and clear. A kind word can make you soar like an eagle and a cruel word can plunge you to the ground. Love this, Love you and love, Bonnie

So true, Connie. I once heard it said that you should try to be kind to people as you go about your day, for you never know what someone might be going through. I try to live by those words. I don't think the poem needs another thing :-)
