LORD, Patience Isn't Me

Seems I do an awful lot of praying and waiting, praying and waiting, for someone I love to give in to Jesus.

You know I'm not patient, Lord.

Even with the weather,

You know how I long for summer

while the winter winds blow;

and when my far-away loved ones

have not been here for too long,

how I get to moping and

wishing, heart aching to

see their smiles.

Now, I've been asking You

day after day,

to take some special people's

rebellion away;

Isn't it soon time for

my dream to come true ?

Can't you make them

open their stubborn hearts to You?

Yes, Lord, I know patience

is what You want of me.

But I can't promise patience

when this means so much to me.

Please, send your healing rain

and set them free.

I LOVE THIS ONE, CONNIE, PATIENT ISN'T ME EITHER. THIS IS AN HONEST CONVERSATION WITH OUR PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING FRIEND. I CAN RELATE BECAUSE HE AND I TALK ALL DAY LONG TOO...AND I WAIT. SOMETIMES, PRAISE GOD, I HEAR OUR GOD AT WORK THROUGH THE CONVERSATIONS THAT I HAVE WITH THOSE I'M PRAYING FOR...AND I WAIT. HE'S TEACHING YOU AND I, AND I'M SURE OTHERS...THE BLESSING OF LEARNING TO BE 'PATIENT' AND FAITHFULLY WAIT ON HIM. ENJOYED, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Maybe this is a gift, hidden, but still a gift waiting to be opened.
