"You'll have this" is what the older local residents might say.
Entering the bar where Alan sat
In his tropical whites,
Brushy eyebrows waggling,
Straw mats on the walls
Hibiscus blooms artfully arranged
While Caribbean blew in on the breeze
Across blue walls and here comes
John Goodman and his posse,
Ready to drink and carouse
And I can’t believe I’m in the same
Room and realize the overheard
Conversation is going to be
A Peak Experience,
When in the distance I
Hear meow meow meow very politely,
A sweet request instead of a decree—
Not very cat-like--
But sometimes they
Do that to fool you.
Anyway, I woke up,
And there he was,
Shadow in the Dark,
Asking me to play doorman.
This is just perfect. They won't let us have our little escapes, will they? In,out, in, out, in ... OMG,it's raining. And the picture is just great. He has the Rabbit In The Moon on his back.
A delightful poem. Dreams can be so vivid, but the polite meow, meow was the touch of reality that caused me to chuckle. When it comes to our cats and dogs, I sometimes wonder who the master really is. Most cats and dogs don't have jobs or pay taxes or pay bills and are waited on hand and foot by the one called "my master".

Highly vivid and atmospheric, a very strong and delightful capture, I love this! And it's true, dogs have masters but cats have staff.
