Sleeping Child

Children are our most precious accomplishments!

Sleeping serenely in peaceful composure,
Plush toy rabbit within her grasp.
Lies the child; happy visions dancing within her head,
As the sun slowly fades to end another day.

The happiness is reflected on her face as her head tilts to caress her best friend and confidant,
On her lap in bright array, lie tulips that never reached her Mother's vase.
A perfect silhouette for a Mother's stolen glance.

If only time would keep her young,
Soon maturity will overtake her.
The moments of youth will be gone forever,
Only her toy tucked safely away to remind her of her blissful youth.

Beautifully touching--yes, they do grow up much too quickly...

How touching! Isn't it amazing when children are that age, they all adore their parents so much. Then, they hit their teenage years and believe their parents are stupid, until that day they hit their twenties and begin paying bills themselves, only to realize that "Hey, maybe my parents aren't so stupid after all". A reality check for all! LOL.....
Thank you!

They grow up too very fast, mine just hit me up for more money with just a "I love ya Dad".
