Halloween Party
LaBelle rang Rose’s bell
Friends meeting both feeling happy and well
Rose asked about that fly
“Should be buzzing around my head,” LaBelle replied
Silence, no buzz. They wondered why.
LaBelle lowered her head
Rose looked and found the fly dead…
Liz appreciated her friend’s aide
Just other promises she’d already made
That make her miss so much fun
She doesn’t get her own life done
Life is not always a party
Expecially when an offspring is not hale and hearty
Mental illness strikes where it will
Much of the fun it does kill
So have a good time, I hope you will
In my heart you both will be still
So party hardy at Fee’s crematorium
I’ll be there in spirit and mortorium
