Today, is just like...one of those days
Where your oomph in life
seems so far away
Today, is just like...one of those days
Where your oomph in life
seems so far away
Some people say it’s the weather and such
Some say its probably your spirit in a rut
Others rant and say your just lazy
While most would chime
“ ...you have too much idling time!”or
“She’s crazy”
I think its not...
not none of the ‘bove!
...’cause I think it might be
that I’m just... sick...
sick in love!
Now don’t get confused
from this old married young couple
We can still look at each other with that certain zing* sparkle
I think there are days, like this one, I said
when we think of our man,
outside of our bed
I know what he does, and he do’s what he can
He has always been there
through the thickest of thin
He never ran out or let any one in
My best friend for always
My #1 man!
He defines my happiness down deep in his soul
The best of the best in this mate for life role
It’s the pizazz that I’m after
That he tries to avert
How does one go about it without anyone hurt?
I love everything,
there’s nothing more that I want!
No doubts, no questions in me
milling about.
This is my love,
the one and only for me
I’ll follow his you know what for all life’s eternity!
Especially HIS!
Today, is just like...
one of those days
you want more towards you
...then what seemingly is deflected
less timid or reluctant, resistant to do
You can’t turn and loom
and think that it’s you
and you know for sure it’s not even him!
What I think I am saying...is
I’m really in need of...
some sorta whim!
No more numb feelings, no letting lights dim
No more humdrum seethe-ings
‘cause...come on...
I, really, honestly do love him!
So, What do I do?
Does you have any suggestions?
For a shy man
with some reservations
one who thinks you might be putting him down
and looks at you, with that funny
scrunched-up, side- kinda frown
He blurts out things...
“You don’t love me and your nuts!”
all because you want a little more strut in your stuff?
Is it me?
Maybe if I write more... it would be plain to see
I just can’t seem to get him to quite get it for me!
Am I making any sense with what I am saying?
Am I the only one
that has felt this sort of dip, if its even that,
or is it?
just a little ole’ slip in our slide,
Oh my! I know!
I’ll get him a card, no....a bottle of...
I’ll get him a ticket....that’s it!
Ugh! No that’s not good either...
I write him a letter, or give him this poem
too shy...
I think he’d die laughing on the floor! HA!
I’ll dress up and play like some hot little %$#&*...
Can’t...
children in the house...Hmm...?
Today, is just like...
Noticed this poem in your response to Joyce Marie Taylor's poem and am glad I did. A typical Kimmy poem that shows her spice for life. Glad I read it.

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
