Beauty, like ice, our footing does betray;
Who can tread sure on the smooth, slippery way?
Pleased with the surface, we glide swiftly on,
And see the dangers that we cannot shun. DRYDEN

Pass o’er us! O’ Winter seal
Let’s escape away to a warmer zeal
Vesture’s shed, white blankets seized
Newness airs in a laundered breeze

Leaves of lime, O’ greenness fresh!
Growth inhales Spring’s fragrant breath
To begin again, to be born in dirt
In caressing arms where beauty won’t hurt!

Intriguing attractions...Wake us up!
Color us brighter from Nature’s cup
Beware the sharpness, O’ hues of flower!
Shade renders darkness in storms o’er bower

Spring is here! All start anew!
Mysterious finds in a hidden you
Wow on the season, you’ve dug the hole
Plant your self on a grassy knoll

The rock has rolled where a shroud remains
A Spring season brings the finest of reigns!
Dressed pastels, O’ bonnet woos!
A lady waves goodbye to the Winter flu’s

Kimmy,

How Gifted you are, Sister!

You held my breath throughout - and then, caught it! in your last verse...

'The rock has rolled where a shroud remains
A Spring season brings the finest of reigns!'

"Spring Ornamentals" is truly worthy of praise...

Love, Rhonda

A lady waves goodbye to the Winter flu’s

Quirky punctuation that made by mouth snap shut in a gesture of 'Oh!'

Spring is my favourite season of the year not only because of vegetation coming to life, but analogous with our own lives. We're wakening up from our slumbers, sowing and planting our aim, goals and ambitions proper for the year, then hopefully, and with the right fertiliser, seeing them bloom in summer.

As that great philosophor, Bambi could say: 'Winter is sure long, mother.'

Regards
Dai
