Bulwer's Bligh in Bed"

The moment a woman marries, some terrible revolution happens in her system; all her good qualities vanish, presto, like eggs cut out of a conjuror’s box.
‘Tis true that they appear on the other side of the box, but for the husband they are gone forever. BULWER

Poem Artwork

In naked bed
a nude contract
On admiral’s watch
asleep o’er hack

Aforcing nay
no two, too bare
I kissed good night
drunk’ n skilly stares

It nipped me dreamt
Ay, life at rest
Old hens sit high
on love’s empty nests

Slovenly walking,
dabbling wet
Undressed me then,
In a blink, I let

Young in soft
But nay, dear little eyes
Stilled, skill a cap’ n blighters
A white flag waves bide

In penny wisdom,
unsullied sense
Prize in mind
No matter what’s spent!

For in the quaff,
Sippin’ sups in bed
Time n’ tides clothe off,
Where abeyance doth ebbs

Pluck in feathers
Wanton a wile, wills sail
Nay Ole'Bulwer, everything goes
Yea, before I bale!

I used to sing Rocky Racoon to my then girlfriend before we got married. That stopped. I used to buy her freschua? flowers. That stopped - well, have you seen the price these days? I used to be clean shaven. This stopped too - my chin goes red when it sees a blade. As for bed? We still sleep with each other, have done for over 30 years, but we just wish each other 'Goodnight' now:)
Aye, aye, aye. Marriage is a double album by the way, I haven't shared what my wife used to do and has now given up...

Enjoyed the rapport that this poem triggered.

Kimmy,
When I read this I thought this woman is traveling a ship in the bed of a number of men, till she find a port for another adventure.
I thought the poem was great.

Kimme Von Cuttie, I love you too, did i use the right amount of "o's"
I guess you'll keep me straight on that too. Hey what about the "H" I missed in whether, I spelled it wether, oh well. Bulwer's, I really learn a lot of new words and meanings from you my dear or thanks for the new additions to the dictionary. Here's one I created, "aswego."
Meaning as we go. Your poems a riot
