Matthew 16:16-19
You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you
bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
In dense vegetation, straitened I sat upright, inflecting . . . With my head looking down, affright holding me bound, I hid my face intending . . . Lending, but, I’m free!
I kept whispering it . . . "I’m free, and I won’t be got!", praying . . . "Please God, let me wander and feed!" Not another drop of darkness . . . I was thrilled . . . stilled . . . Like a meed in the wilderness!
In the silent noise and soundless screams, I kept my eyes closed, Till, it grabbed me with great force, Pulling me . . . Dragging me through my calling, saying something . . . I didn’t even scream, since I lost my say so, so long ago, so . . . I said, "What’s the use?"
"By the way, hey" . . . I’m still there, you know . . . in the brush . . . Not yet in spirit, but body I have the freedom to pull this fast one, And I’m making good use of it!
One day, I hope something will find me, And never, will never grab me back! ...then, it will really be the time of my life, running dead into it, out and back into it . . . slowly man crawls In the clear, never chasing the f*** all’s!
Reasonably being, I’m thinking . . . If nothing finally locked eyes with mine, I’d freeze! Burning in Hell! Whatever’s out there for me, is still out there! "Escape from it?", is never’s question! Always and forever, unlocks the answer! ...It’s like, the last key left . . .
I can see this all happening!

When i read "I'm free" it made me laugh as in the 70's that was a catch phrase here, due to a guy, john inman in a sitcom called Are you being served, though he's dead now, hearing I'm free makes me laugh, as when we had to work overseas, we'd say i'm free send me...
Well Jesus, like you say passed the church onto peter, and so on, right up to pope benedict 16...
Wow! I know this feeling all too well. That final key has so much purpose. A lifetime of hope contained in the metal of our minds yet we wait to hear that click as the key verifies it's authenticity. Blessings Always, Paul
