Wrong Zephyr, Gusto!

I love this car!

My very first car was a 1976 Mercury Zephyr. I left many in the dust!
Tee- Hee!

Poem Artwork

Catch in’ a breeze
Oh! Thar’ she blows!
Drafts up,beaming,
spares to soakaway woes

Hitching a ride
Oh! She just passed me by!
Adrift for miles
and my mouth’s still dry . . .

Tossed in the wind,
Oh! Her directions changed . . .
Hail, I was eating my hat,
when she did rack my brains!

Acold in a cyclone,
Oh! There’s an air about her!
Wafting in whispers,
I softly muffled her coiffures

Currently circulating,
Oh! She’s spreading her jaunts!
Gasping for breath,
malady, in between my pants!

With a huff n’ a puff,
Oh! Soon her clutch expired . . .
Crumped in her back seat,
she shifted gears, full throttle!

With hurricane force,
Oh! She bestirred my drive!
Whirl a clime of blues,
I weathered just to be alive!

Pistons, drive shafts,
Oh! A cog in her wheel
She left me in the dust,
Catch in’ only a quick feel . . .

My first was my Dad's 1957 Ford V8--rebought fron a school teacher. Won many a drag race and copped a feel or two.

And then, my brother and I shared a 1935 Ford Coupe with a 1951 Cadillac engine. Scared off the road. Website logo.

Why is your weather so erotic!

My first car was a red 1962 Plymouth Valiant, LOL. My uncle gave it to me unexpectedly, when I was in 10th grade. I thought I had won the lottery and I was suddenly cool with an inline slant six cylinder ticket to personal independence. I couldn't have been more elated if it had been a Maserati. I finally traded it in at 287,000 + miles. What a great poem to spark high school age memories! Great job, Kimmy!

They can't take those memories away from us, can they?

Thanks for the smile and the momentary escape to my first cars and the "Good Old Days."

Kimmy,

I can feel your passion running through my bones. These are memories no one ever forgets. My first car was a 1955 chevrolet overly used and well abused. Isn't youth wonderful? The General Robert E. Lee had nothing on my flying chevy.
