Poem Artwork

. . . of virgin snowflakes
Winter’s unspotted whiteness
Fall leaves tracks unknown

When Leaf met Crystal
She melted in his colors
Seasoned in between

Sheets of tangled snow
Leaf raked dampened glows
He unchaste the icy taint

Falling to his leaves
He whitened her snow in paint
and rot together...

A wide spectrum of thought and emotion
Is it love. . . . .
Or is it just how life is. . . .
Piercing. . . .
Revealing. . .from virgin snow
To rotting leaves
Left me wondering.
Superb
Doug

Sounds like a metaphor for all of us. Living, aging, rotting, beautiful, slapdash, cynical, irreverent, brilliant ... like finding a secret path that leads out to a cliff overlooking the ocean and getting a blast of fresh air in the face. As always ... rocking the Casbah with panache and poetic cleavage. (-:

Kimmy this is truly exquisite, the images soft as snowflakes and sharp as crystals.

A string of snow beads that sparkle with just a dash of fire that does not melt but only glows in the comfort of the poets heart...not sure where that came from but it just was how I pictured these ku's.
