Where you are right now, must be where you want to be.
If not, then you need to look to nature for the answers. . .
In dead of winter, in all her harshness, she fears warmth, because ultimately, new life will emerge!

Look for the rays, the warmth of the fire within you, and lick all your blue 'cicles away!

Poem Artwork

I was licking on a ‘cicle, lapping in the know

How supple is the sun in winter, keeling off the snow!

With squinty eyes, a cordial sigh; Seasonally substantial

A saying shimmer savvy sheen'd

"O’ Winter’s beneficial!"

While freezing in the shadows, fitted, close to death

No fluffy covers, just, sheeted white, stripped to lay to rest

When everything is gone, in blue, your dying. . .

Let care compel, feel, ice will melt . . . my Winter ‘cicles’ crying!

. . .and, look... the evergreens’ surviving!

Turning back, alas!. . . I’m standing in array

Lights upon my ‘cicle, dripping down, dismayed

Wet and cold; my lips feel numb

blue ‘cicle thoughts will soon succumb. . .

Watch fire Mantles, O’ such a cold bum!

Mister Winter that is!

I am speechless, Kimmy!!

Your alliteration, your word-loving strokes of sound-alphabet, your 'Winter' breath of mind-write subtlety, yankingly, provoke emotions of winter's starvation! Not its own, whomever lived it, Winter, and miss its shades, hues and tints! An exquisite write which holds so many levels of memories of all, it almost hurts!

The photo? Gorgeous! I see at least three worlds in its blueness, its iciness, its beauty...

Funny,in a way this theme is akin to my fog poem. Of course yours is unique and superbly written, and I love the graphic! Your energy jumps off the page and ignites me Kimmy!;-)

I really enjoyed the upward meter flow of your lines. Your pitch gives one the air of kinetic energy just waiting to blow. The rhyme scheme is magnifico!

Outstanding write! Wow! Sends a powerful message as I agree with you we can look at nature with our eyes...but to truly see and appreciate we must look with our hearts! It seems that we our thoughts are in unison this week! Enjoyed this much, heartfelt and beautiful! Well done!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

If blue is the color of the cold as passion is red, so, the red of your passion will blend with that cold blue to make a Purple Heart prancing on that innocent fluffy white like teasing thoughts.

The cleverness of you poetry and the optimization of your picture - a truly creative mind. I'd rather be cold than hot - can add clothing, but can only go 'down' so far, else ......

Plus, snuggling feels better when the weather is cooler/colder.

God bless you. Kathy

Good one, Kimmers. Ha! Here on the easternmost tip of Texas, we don't do snow. It snowed here a few years ago. Four inches. It crippled our county for three days! Not one snow shovel in Bowie County! It turned to ice. Imagine long-tall-texans sliding into ditches! It was funny. Pretty but hilarious. I like the cold because it makes the fire-ants stay deep in the ground (das ist sehr gut). Now I'm going to go back and hug my Lasky heater (it's right below the air conditioner I hug all summer). Giggle!

I say bring it on!! I love the cold weather; I would much rather be cold than hot!! The summers here in Texas are brutal; I find as I get older, the heat gets to me more while I enjoy the cold more; I function better in cold weather. So there you go.

Beautifully written and imaged; brava, Kimmy!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Snow flurryin' out there as we speak! Yes! Snow in Texas!! Yeehawww!! :D

Winter will give way to Spring's warmth...for me, can't get here too soon. I'm freezing! LOL This year has been harder on me than it has ever been. Karen, on the other hand, wishes it would stay winter all year 'round (no storms--I could live with that, too LOL). A beautiful write, very well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
