Afternoon, just over my head, and clearly, the sun drinks my dark hair
Acumen is my desires,  and me? . . . I’
m imagining again!
Open-eyed against a coldness,  jarred
drifting through dappled dust the sun debarred
. . . through broadened shadows, through branching trees
on a bottomlessness path, surpassed past see!
Planting life and noticing, how some still wait to be planted . . .
Insightfulness tosses a penny in the well!
(I should have banked it!)

You know, sometimes they do come true ,  and Spring will come again!
("Why am I always there,  coining wishes on the green?)
And in wintertime, under overcast skies,  I do try
fading out the grey in my eyes . . . but it’
s so damn draining!
This February chill, stills me no luster
so, I'll just color me all over!
Brighten bitter thoughts
  rising,  warming breath,  where Winter’
s bias!

. . . and sour becomes sweeter in a poem
Even money chills to the bone!
But,  even so, I can see. . .  there, baring in the trees, I find
how too many of us are blind to the presence that springs life!
Looking deeper into the ground, it's the wiles that dig us deeper, I found!
Back to my root’
s is what warms me, back to the beginning of my being!
Hey, the sun is setting . . . it’s about time I was getting home. I want to be warmer,
and I crave the nourishment and love;
Everything else?

Lies. . .  down there at the bottom of my well

This is "Well" Done literally. You did the right thing to throw the penny in the well cause the bank aren't going to give us any freaking interest on it. Very nice piece all around especially the ending finale. Keep doing it great Kimmy!

Very very well done Kimmers. You sure you haven't been tagging along on my most-morning walks through our Piney Woods out here? Winter is cold and drippy. The greens are darker and fronds are wet-black. Duff squishes beneath my tread. Little pools, everywhere, are full of primal life. This morning, a tiny brown mouse peeked at me from under weed-leaves and I whispered "Peace, Brother." La-la-la-la life goes on and magick is alive and well.

You are famous again. If you get a moment, go look at my article, "Ideals in Reality."

Viva la wishing well.

Well as I sit here listening to a CD of old country songs and the winds are blowing cold and hard outside my window...your poetry is just the perfect mix of thoughts for me tonight. Almost as if you are looking into my room and into my mind. Nice one.
