It sings because it has a song. - Chinese Proverb

Poem Artwork

Whistling. . . "I’m Peaching!"
Round on, "It’s Spring!"
Unseasoned, is lilting,
Unsullied, I whim!

Adapting this air,
"Awaken!", I sing
"Feast of the Fresh"
I branch out on a limb . . .

Veiled in new greenness.
All gazing, my pleasure!
His banquets before us, select,
"Fetes of the Revels!"

Beak- horny projections.
Any lip?, "flip the bird!"
To bask in their Winter's, is to freeze,
Shrunk in, absurd. . .

Make happily your soul!
( I fly through cloud nine.)
Triumph in wallows; wear, "Rejoice!"
Proud's,  in your rhyme.

Sing out, "It’s Spring!"
Turn off your "I Tunes"
Too, a loosed back in you’re loosened?
Self prey, maybe...? "You’re doomed!"

You have chosen a very dynamic structure that truly fits the content. Wonderful choice of vocabulary, some contemporary details, but with a timeless feel. I love this artwork and all the ones I saw on your page!

Hi Kimmy,

It is wonderful to hear the birds singing again. It seems that I haven't heard them for a long time.

Spring has sprung finally after two long years of winter. I truly identify with this poem. Good poem.

The beautiful side of Spring, Kimmy, in verse and image - we saw the ugly side today here, had severe storms, even a funnel cloud! Scary, but God got us through, no damage (just shattered nerves LOL). Well done!

Love your unique poem, Kimmy. I also sing to and with my outdoor birds. Have had some for years that, when I whistle to them, they reply "Prrrrty grrrrl"...I swear! They do!
