Behind prison walls
My heart beats like a drum
When I see this man
Who had the mind to be a great one.

Parents who are addicts
Can not lead children
To healthy lifestyles.
While they drink and drug and die.

I visit these walls
My heart is big it beats like a drum
Then the transfer was made
To mental health care.

This care should have occured
Long ago when two little boys
At play did not know the
Other had died.

Today the parents action is child abuse
This boy should have had
Treatment and after all these years
He still misses
his little friend.

In this grown man's mind
Anger sears and burns
His oh so romantic heart can
Love only for a little while

Before the terror and explosion
reappears, (you see it in the eyes)
He says, "I hate him, I hate him,
he died, he died, my good friend".

The most important gift we can share in life is our Love. And those that are mentally challenged are in even greater need.

Bless you for your daily work, Louisa.

What a shame. Such a terrible burden for one so young to carry through life...

Be always safe,

And all the while this man-boy hates himself something awful while he thinks: I did it, I did it, I let my friend die...how terrible I was to let my best friend die...I HATE MYSELF. lET'S PRAY HIS TREATMENT AREN'T TO LATE TO HELP HIM. So very sad when a child suffers from abuse!
