On the record...One so ill suffers without knowledge of PTS problems. All is known is "I don't know what is wrong with me, what's happening", and then come the tears, or the drinking. Anything to feel good. It does not happen until you get proper treatment. This could take what seems like forever if you cannot seem to get through the fear.
Every veteran is not told, on the record which they should know. "Do you want your visit on the record?" A doctor might ask. Of course you do! How will Veteran Adminestration know you were injured on active duty. You Go, President Obama! Change that regulaton on time Took seventeen years 'til I got mine. Too many Veterans out on the street, 'cause they did'nt know how to beat not being on the record. It takes patience from God. Thank you President Obama! Yet, I plea you consider backing up to the time of discharge. R E T R O A C T I V E ! I thank God for the time He gives me to leave this legacy for my young relatives. Louisa A Dobbins (c)10Jul2010

GLAD THAT A 'VETERAN' HAS TAKEN THE TIME TO SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT, WHO CAME INTO A HOUSE THAT WAS 'TORE DOWN' FROM THE CEILING TO THE FLOOR. Like Tony, I also no longer go to the VA for any of my medical needs. When I did go, I was wrongly diagnosed and it nearly killed me. They fall far short of the quality of care of civilian doctors. THAT is what really needs to be addressed by Mr. Obama. Still, this was well said, Louisa. God bless.

I am a veteran who never uses any if there are VA benefits. I at one time went to the VA hospital but I found besides disrespect from the civil workers, the doctors were all foreign educated. In one incident the wrong medicine was prescribed for me. So I do not know what Obama has done to right the wrongs of our veterans, ButIMHO the politics are anti-veteran.
Thank You for sharing this well crafted writing. As it will bring much discussion.
