Nature imitating art.

 The cadmium sun goes down

Painting the blue river red

Staining the turquoise lake in

Sparkling shades of gold and yellow—

Splashing the beach sand and dunes

In flavors of lemon grape lime and

Wild cherry.

 

I am painting today—

On my palette shine

All the luminous colors

of the day I gazed

until the sun went down.

Today is gray.
Between Sweetwater and Sand

Came to a slamming realization at the end… Wow.

You could paint that classic of the modernist school… Gray on Gray. That would be cool.
