lost youth

Backbends and cartwheels on the lawn

only yesterday—

where has it gone?

Tennis swimming dances and dates

skiing sledding and figure skates—

running laughing in the rain

I want to live it all again.

Now eight decades have passed and

All I have left are photographs.
