This is the oldest poem I wrote when I was 13 years old
Beauty is what God did send,
To start his life in paradise land.
With a man He made of his own kind,
And to him gave the name Adam.
In that day of land of beauty,
Was a forbidden Tree of Life.
Which Adam and His mate were
Forbidden to thought or or eat
Or he and she would surely die.
But Eve gave a bite to Adam,
To eat of the Tree of Knowledge,
And it came that Adam and Eve were made
Back to the earth and field from God.
Even since then,
We're decendants from them,
For we all are new born sinners
and know not how to be reborn in Him.
This is what God has created,
That we shall be free to worship Him,
And one day soon we shall find Him,
The beauty of love of the Father shall begin.
An incredible write for age thirteen back then. Ask a thirteen-year-old today what they think of Creation, they will most likely look at you and say "Haugh! Do you mean Harry Potter?" Well done, Sharon, age 13! :)
Wow you were just 13 when you wrote this and now compare it to what you write now. It is all the same about the one who loves us so much my friend. God bless you.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
P.S. The title is listed on Amazon under Look for Something Good by Robert Drews (not by Robert H. Drews)
Reflections and Nature Watercolors is a collection of Margaret's spontaneous positive thoughts in celebrating and reflecting on life and her nature watercolors.
