Nature’s Loveliness

The world is a lovely place to be
God’s nature is all around.
The birds are singing in the trees,
That are clothed in a full green gown.

The robin’s nest is way up high
With four speckled eggs inside;
A tiny birdie peeks through a crack,
As though he’s trying to hide.

A playful squirrel runs down the tree
To grab an acorn from the ground.
So quiet is he looking for food,
Hardly making the slightest sound.

More squirrels searching through the grass
While the wind sings in the trees
A flock of birds go flying past
Like the buzz of a thousand bees.

One tiny gray squirrel in my yard
Comes to visit me every day
He waits for the corn I throw to him
Then he runs and struts in play.

The heavens turn blue way overhead
White cottony clouds float through the sky
Rain clouds send a sobering face,
Indoors where  bored little children cry.

Trees, birds, animals, children, and sky
All part of such breath-taking views
The seasons, the changes, the growth all around
Colors in glorious shades and hues.
That’s nature!
