When I taught school, I often wrote a poem or a ditty when I wanted to get a message across to my little boys and girls. This is one they found funny, but it had an impact and they started covering. Please feel free to use this with your little ones, if you like.
Germs
All germy people cough and sneeze. They do not bother To cover these.
They spread their germs About in the air, Making everyone sick With colds and despair.
So, I’ll give you a message Please listen here, Do what I tell you And others won’t fear —germs.
Cover your mouth! Cover your nose! Use a clean tissue For all your blows!

Loved this, I sitting here in my first grade classroom with 20 six year olds and of those twenty at least seven are coughing, sneezing, with runny noses...while they are journaling...I will read this to them, I am sure they will love it! Thank you for this wonderful offering.
