The coast line is decorated with these gracious beauties!

                   Little Bungalow..........

A miniature house surrounded by sand,
sea in the back, but very little land.
A porch, pastel curtains, a boat out back,
keys, rope, fishing tackle kept in a sack.

Wood pile, lobster traps on the side for show,
appear so neat all stacked in a row.
Boots, fishing line, hooks and more,
stay in a box away from the shore.

The sunlight is changing from white  to grey,
perhaps ther is a storm on the way.
Tied to a post a little boat rocks,
it sways and bobbles till the wave pops.

Lightning strikes, see the ocean at night,
it glistens and sparkles oh, what a sight.
Sea starts to churn, waves on the move,
white caps creating their own little groove.

Each roar of thunder, the house it does shake,
you wish it were over, how long will this take.
Outside is windy, downpour of rain,
sand is blowing, hitting the windowpane.

Sails in a pile, boat mast on the ground,
the water comes up, they will never be found.
Tied, chained, hidden under a cover,
it appears this storm is about over.

This has the feel of being in the north east or Great Lakes region, because of sails and lobster traps, and fishermen's bungalows down close to the water. Good scene-setting. I can smell the salt in the wind.

powerful write allows the reader a glimpse of a day at this little bungalow before and during a storm, vivid imagery. Enjoyed!

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
