Dainty, mystical and magical........

          Snowflakes..........

Snowflakes here, snowflakes there,
snowflakes falling everywhere.
I look up, I look down,
silently falling all around.

They sparkle, they shine,
each has its own design.
Circles, hexagrams, triangles, more,
so eloquent, dainty, tiny for sure.

It twists, turns, flies through the air,
such grace and ease it glides most fair.
To the touch it is always wet and cold,
forever young, never old.

Hitting windows, slide down the glass,
follow the journey soon to pass.
So mysterious is the snowflake,
will it be there when I wake.

Like the brush of a painter,
there is nothing fainter.
They glitter and shine,
one can only opine.

Nice poem, Karen. The rhythm seems like a fast falling, windblown snow. A fun snow. I enjoyed this.
