Dreaming and wishing for that warmer weather to return once again!

                                Shoreline.......

How much I wish that I could be,
walking the shoreline, hugging the sea.
Colored seashells scattered on the sand,
glitter, sparkle when touched by my hand.

              Sticks, twigs, rocks, seaweed galore,
carried up by the tide the night before.
                Seagulls above searching for food,
a gentle breeze, a spiritual mood.

Clouds floating in from the west,
add to the serenity doing its best.
Feel the water rippling at my feet,
what is it trying so hard to meet.

                 Peaceful, serene, clearing the mind,
heals the pain in one's soul I find.
Observing the motion, waves in and out,
fills the soul with a sense of what life is about.

Walking the shoreline, what do you see,
a child's pail, shovel buried by the sea.
                    Broken sand castle water seeping,
makes one take stock, no more weeping.

                      Tiny fish swimming all around,
floating with the tide, not to run aground.
Sounds of the ocean, music to my ears,
                        Gently washing away the tears.
