All the brave......
Deep down inside my heart cried,
for all the brave who have fought and died.
Those who never reached twenty-one,
others gone with work undone.
Quiet now no sound to hear,
only a slow silent tear.
Infamous dark, silent and still,
the sound of my heart beating at will.
Cats curled up by the fireplace,
puppies dreaming gently in place.
Outside is dark, damp and cold,
our young men and women so bold.
No stars are shining, no north star in sight,
night sky is prettier with a little light.
These are our husbands, wives, brothers, friends,
giving their all, right through to the end.
There are no words that could ever say,
how much I realize the price they pay.
Each day I think how proud am I,
of what they do, how hard they try.
Pray for peace each and every day,
come home safe, their families say.
Deep down inside my heart cried,
for all the brave who have fought and died.

A wonderful paean to be sung in homage to "All The Brave".
An accomplished poetic task artistically presented.

Outstanding!!!
Thank you for remembering why they fight, why they volunteer: for our freedom. Would we be so brave? As a veteran, I salute you for this outstanding tribute.
