When we cannot face the math.

it is agreed among the alive
that only the fittest should survive

it's simple math that makes it so
limited space -- no where to go

and since we first began to think
that over-breeding had a brink

an on that brink we should remorse
and so the law we should enforce

the weak must die for the greater good
or so we've said since the mammoth flood

but I have words as yet unspoken
about the law that must be broken

about what stares us in the face
about the fate of the human race

and I do not dispute the math
or the logic that blocks my path

there is one way, thinking out of the box
the breeding hare can outsmart the fox

the need to produce in definitive space
too many members of the human race

need not be strangled by a callous rule
enforced by the strong the able and the cruel

for on this planet there are no bars
and nothing to stop our march on the stars
