We must always be strong because we have no choice but to be strong.

We must always be strong So we could maintain emotional prowess Or our inner pains will prolong We must always be strong So we could be aware of our surroundings Or we’ll end up in the wrong We must always be strong So we could protect ourselves from danger Or we’ll end up singing a sad song We must always be strong So we could always love ourselves Or our disappointments will be lifelong We must always be strong We have no choice but to be strong Therefore, we must always be strong

The alternative is giving up...but I learned a long time ago that giving up doesn't get you very far...it doesn't even get you out of bed.
