George said"All of your prayers were answered by the good Lord. Please say thank you to everyone."
He needs a couple days. The doctor removed the Mould from his ear, and theres some bleeding. But he's fine, he said;-)

~*~

Soul found itself ensnared, bare
Beguiled,defiled,disrupted,corrupted
By a predator mind, whom it thought
More enlightened than itself

The predator mind was a beauty in disguise
Sharing words of endearment and love
In ways soul never heard or felt before

Mind had expertise of captivating moods
Fulfilling the desires of those in set mode
Hungry for uninhibited pleasing of self

The predator mind is in a world of its own
It taught itself to stay above the fray
Became totally separated from earthly ways

It acts unaware of what it does to others
Predator mind has no restrictions for itself
Having set its own standards to live by

It can possess through fulfilling desires
Showing abundant passion in unique ways
Almost like casting a spell on all the senses

Predator mind is a magnet for others
Soul became enamored of one so free
Not abiding by the same rules as it does

So brilliant, mysterious you thirst for more
Soul had an obsession hard to be rid of
The predator mind will deny any share in it

Remember one who sets their own standards
Has no one to answer to, in their opinion...

"Remember one who sets their own standards Has no one to answer to, in their opinion..." And they'd better enjoy it on this earth because afterward, look out! This is excellent and powerful, Eileen. One of your best I think.

the predator mind is unfathomable and almost mythlike to those who do not possess such a mind.

Excellent write, E.T. I like that phrase - predator mind - although I don't like what goes with it. What makes me fearful is that they have no conscience; therefore, anything they do is alright to them. I wonder sometimes how we writers think of the things we think of and write about!! Do we have a different *kind* of mind than those who don't write, that have other talents or gifts? Anyway, I immensely enjoyed your write. Peace. Joyce

Tell George to make some pennicillin from that mould/mold and stop putting bread in his ears...glad to hear he is well, he has been in thoughts and meditations...oh with regards this poem, I only answer to Rene & Rufuz and not necessarily in that order of importance...LOL! Ed & Rufuz

Oh, you probably could guess my feeling on this, Eileen. I'll use a story with which many of are familiar to comment on your poem, a bible story (and I'm one who believes whether people accept the bible as fact or myth, they can still learn from its archetypal stories if they are sensitive and literate). But I also like Sherry's analogy; my friend Iva likes to use the spider/fly to explain her relationship with her former husband. LOL

The predator mind and falling prey to it all goes back to ego. Pride was the first sin in the story of the Garden of Eden. While we can clearly see what Satan (described later as a hungry lion seeking whom he may devour aka a predator) seduced Eve with alluring promises (and let's not forget that Adam was standing right next to her...it says the serpent talked to Eve and that her husband was "with" her; so, Adam shares responsibility in being deceived). We also know from reading Satan's history in the bible that he had enormous ego. He wanted to be worshipped the way God is worshipped. Couldn't live with being an underling and not as glorious, and would do anything to get such worship. However, while we can see that he is the predator and takes some blame, he was simply following his nature and he saw within Eve and Adam his own flaw, ego/pride. He appealed to a desire he knew they would have to be as God. Unless we are speaking of an adult preying on a child, both parties always share responsibility in such scenarios, both predator and victim. While the predator may be a vile creature, the victim at some point should take responsibility for falling for the predator's lure, and usually the victim's weakness is a strong desire to be loved because they haven't learned how to love themselves or sometimes it's big ego. Sometimes we're so sure we're lovable we fall for the most astounding flattery. If we had good sense we'd know something was amiss and smell a rat. :-) By no means do I say this to excuse the deeds of those with predator minds who regularly seduce others and excuse themselves for leaving a trail of broken hearts and spirits, but having been the victim of predators, I had to take a look at myself to see what makes me fall prey. I do believe predators can sense what the victim lacks.

Your poem is very well done and thought provoking, Eileen. You know I tend to write a lot only when something strikes a deep chord. :-) ~~Nordette
PS: Great news about George.

Eileen,

Predators have no concience (spelling?), no morals; that's what makes them so dangerous. Silver tongued, they'll beguile you with their charms, and then move in for the kill. An excellent, heartbreaking poem that exposes predators for the demons they are.

EXCELLENT news about George--thanks for the update! Ain't God good, answering our many prayers. :) (ALL THE TIME)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

A predator is probably not as much immoral as they are amoral. Having no morals at all allows them to do whatever they deem necessary to reach their personal goals, paying no mind to those they hurt in the process. The predator usually comes with a silver tongue and their words, at first, seem so wise and clear. Their deception is much like a beautiful spider web; we are drawn to the amazing geometry and fragile quality of it and soon we find ourselves stuck within it, unable to break free and our life being sucked from us by a nasty spider. When they are done with us, we are left as a carcas to die in the sun, little thought given to our painful situation. Wonderful job on this, Eileen! Please send my love to George and let him know that I am glad he is on the road to recovery.
Take care,
Sherry

Stunningly susceptible minds have been recruted over the ages by predators that hunger for the world's souls. The incredible talents are molded into the designers of the destruction of the world, into executioners of mankind. No earthly court can ever touch them. But all their brilliance and intelligence aren't enough to make them see that there are higher courts in higher planes that do not overlook a single thought, feeling or event. They will judge the predators when time is due.

Predators and detractors are swarming a plenty out there and their daily goal is to seduce a weak mind and gather recruits. It is a damn conspiracy and I hope others are of sense enough to not be lured by the Predator Mind. Why? Because that Predator Mind will feed on those stupid enough to be ensnared in the predator's trap. They are food for the predator and sooner or later, the predator will dine! Very intuitive and perceptive write, Eileen!
