Having come far enough in life
to know the difference, I have a
broken heart, but my soul is secure

Now I must enlist the help of my
mind, to bring my heart to where my
soul is, which isn't easy

Not when your heart is fixated on
one and your soul on another
while your mind falls in-between

It is difficult to line-up all three
that would be perfection
which is mostly unattainable

So it is a constant struggle to try
sometimes,  getting two of them
united, and a third almost there

That's called contentment, happiness
satisfaction,good fortune, which is as
close to perfection as it gets

I think most of us, at any given time,
have a heart divided,a mind quartered,
and a soul just hanging in

I should speak for myself,I'm one of those
that has my mind on at least four things
to do at the same time

In fact it is the mind that seems to bail us
out if we let it,focusing on matters other
than the heart

So, though my heart is hurting, it's on the
mend, my soul is sure, and thankfully my
mind continues its non-stop activity

Methinks I'll keep it this way!
