Poem Artwork

In evanescent dreams of yore
The mystic came from distant shore
Entranced was I in fantasies abode
It was a swift chimerical wave we rode

A spiritual feast of close communication
Yielding the hope of intimate inspiration
Enmeshed in the vast blueness of sky and sea
Under intense overwhelming desires were  we

Our dreamship became a vessel of love
Sailing the seas with its own treasure trove
Dropping anchor at the slightest whim
Enjoying an island or a moonlit swim

Until the time came when once more
The mystic would return to foreign shore
Seeking a  stranger on a different sea
Having sated himself with my anatomy

My dear minx, you worry me...these dreams swaying from the euphoric to the nightmarish...riding a chimera...hope you did not get hurt. And remember my momma always told me not to take sweets from strangers...but how deep are your imaginative powers? Superb poem as we come to expect from you. Victor

You can take us for the most wonderful rides in your ever growing imagination. You floor me with the extent of your vocabulary. Another suberb write with just enough of a hint of passion woven in.

You pulled me along with this, seemingly, androgynous write. Well that is until the last line where your imaginary merman ravaged your booty. Goodness!

Love those words chimerical and evanescent.

Eileen,

I'm going to need a dictionary to see what Chimerical means...what ever it means, it sounds lovely! As is this write--gorgeous!
