Poem Artwork

The amber moon caressed our bodies
as  on the beach we lay
The blanket wrinkled full of sand
from our erotic foreplay
In loves sweet lazy afterglow
we listen to the oceans flow
Content in our relaxed embrace
reluctant to leave our favorite place
Sounds of  waves as they come ashore
seduce us with their  allure
We feel symbiosis in the pull of the tides
tingling on our insides
With the evening chill we must depart, but
the ocean remains within our hearts
Until once again in the noon day sun
we return to where we became one

Dear Eileen,

The rhythm of the ocean is the rhythm of life as it was meant to be so everything that falls into that rhythm is blessed.

Love & Light always and in all ways,

This reminds me so much of the scene with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in the film "From Here to Eternity". I could vision the two lovers in your poem on that same beach...beautifully romantic!

Nice, nice nice. The ending is just gorgeous...I guess it's something about the cycle...completion...the unification of souls...that I have a soft spot for.
