Hopes for a quiet mornings meditation
were dashed but a racuous alternative
became acceptable

The huge oak in front needed a trimming
it was interfering with electrical wires...

I stood on my porch watching for awhile
glad I had been awake before they came the noise of their sawing etc  godawful

Saturday morning those who work ,like to sleep later than 7:00 am, so I can't fault their grumpy whining

I watched as birds flew all around squawking and worrying that their homes were being ruined

The cacphony of sounds from all aspects, man, machine, animal, struck me as a discordant symphony

I pictured a wild maned conductor leading the musicians with a frenzied baton

The image made me smile, and softened the assault of the sounds,I even imagined a melody

A Yo Yo Ma recording called "Ambush From Ten Sides" It was so apropos, I put the CD on

Then thought, this reminds me of the quote"turning lemons into lemonade"

I sat watching the activity ,and listening to the record while I wrote this,to share with you

Life happens and we deal with it the best we can...choosing how we do it is the key

Interesting and enjoyed all the combined observations of the day. Guess you are right, things happen all the time, it is how we choose to deal with them that matters. Nice piece of advice and a very enjoyable write....

Be safe,
Karen

Great orchestration! Learn to love the dissonance, and the suspension and resolutions will mean more. I like how each line modulates to that last-line resolution... "choosing how we do it is the Key to the Symphony of Life. Great thoughts, thanks.

Sometimes noises can have its own kind of tune. When my kids were babies their cries would wake us up all hours of the night, yet their soft cooing still sent me to a peaceful place. Now you have painted an Idyllic portrait of a composer leading a unique orchestra. Enjoyed

I have a habit of not fighting noises that disturb me. I like to sleep in the afternoon and these days they are building flats in front of my house. Too much noise, but I manage to sleep. I go with the noise. Ask any fox, he'll tell you ;) Victor

Excellent, Eileen, gotta learn to live with the flow. :) Not let it disturb...although it's hard, wanna go over to those inconsiderate boors and just STRANGLE 'em! LOL Seriously, I've had to learn to tune 'em out. And smile back: that just really makes 'em wonder what you're up to. LOL Well done, in any event.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Ab-so-lutely! When life interceds our controlled space, we either shriek and bellow (my style) or sit down and make something positive out of it . . . Good job, Eileen . . .
