Traversing the Dreamscape

I traverse the dreamscape
noting the human condition
in brains recorded tapes
seeing a lack of fruition

Thoughts largely scattered
failure to meet set goals
hearts at times shattered
visions of sorrowful souls

A plethora of wrong choices
wasted time looks to escape
listening to  inept voices
allowing senses to be raped

As we wend our way in life
most of the time we yearn
therefore we suffer strife
not taking time to learn

Dreamscape confused reality
so we must take control
or else we lose our identity
playing a deceptive  role

Life can't be devoid of spirit
without it we're an empty shell
the soul does not favor demerit
it cannot survive in man made hell

ET

ET, I am sometimes in man made hell at my job, everyone has their spirit and their dreams if only we didn't have to deal with people who don't understand where us dreamer enlightened type dwell.
Thought provoking and beautiful are your words that make this amazing poem.

And yet in dreamscapes, creativity explodes with blossoming visions anew. 'Tis the application that leaves us stumbling, bumbling. Awash in an endless sea void of pragmatism. Another excellent poem E T. Jon Michael Willey

Got your ducks all lined up in that oft-phrased row, did we this morning, eh Eileen? A hodgepodge look at life and mistakes and mind over matter when it truly counts . . . You did good . . .

...and empty shell...if we listen inside...will give us wind of its spirit...so that we might find the magic within our dreams. Well penned and wise thoughts you have given us Eileen...
