Lost  faces of love fade with time

But never leave the memory

They can be recalled in an instant

As vivid as the occasion warrants

Times I see you through fog my dear

Or clear and strong like a sunny winters day

I see you through eyes on fire with desire

The mind is an amazing recording machine

Technology can't compare to what I can see

When I lie in bed and conjure up your image

Picturing  how awesome it used to be with us

You will always be wrapped in the tendrils

Of my every fibre

Our synergism lives forever, even though

Your eyes have wandered

Eileen, I was thinking the same thing as Karla, this is a bittersweet poem. It takes much longer for the emotions to fade away than for the relationship. That can end on a dime, but the feelings...they can last forever. ~ Sara

Wandering eyes that knock the doors of jealousy, wandering eyes that compare with others what they have, wandering eyes that should be the prisoners only of an naked ardent all consuming beauty.
