Poem Artwork

morning in dense gray
not going  far today, damp
dewy mist chills the bones
images of warm cozy blankets
take me back to the bed zone
where i'll curl up and sleep
perchance to dream,or keep
warm at least,until the foggy
beast,decides to fade away
until then my mind free to play
may conjure up a poem or two
that will perhaps even please you
or arouse in you displeasure,yet
i must ramble on while this morn
has me choosing to not be forlorn
rather to enjoy the mystery of
how my thoughts take refuge,in
the damp dawns foggy deluge
and now back under the covers
i think i'll rediscover,nothingness

Aye, there's the rub...(deep heating rub--Mineral Ice will do)
hee, hee...
Foggy mornings have a way of making going back to bed sound SO appealing!

Dear ET, how did you know? that the last week worth of fog around here, there are so thick that even IRS can't find you.
Oh! you mean the poem?...I don't like when you thoughts take refuge, because it is the same to take away my rainbow after the rain.

Mine often do, too; but I like getting out there and wandering all about in it. And I love that pic!

Eileen,I love your last line. I think I'll disscover nothingness. I think we find much wisdom in just being and in our nothingness. Thank you.

With Love,
Cindy

We may be under cover tomorrow, Eileen, because of severe weather. *sigh* Say a prayer for us, okay? An excellent write, pray you're doing okay.

yes. Back under the covers. Gray foggy damp mornings are to be avoided. Actually my mind sifts through what might be lurking in the fog. After I scare myself, I'm back in bed. lol. Wonderful write. Liz

Any excuse to stay in bed, this the time to be out and be lost, to find you yourself, you needs no other blankets than the blanket of fog, take a horn with you, just in case, to avoid collission with other lost souls out there, say your brothers the three Eds,, are you sure it's not just smoke drifting over from Jersey Devil?
Just the same I like your foggy dew, I do, Hugs! Jasmin Horst

This is a whimsical piece that makes nothingness into cool. Maybe even a mystical quality.

Ah but the perfect weather to tuck ourselves under the warm and cozy covers and just relax and be lazy for the day. Thank you for sharing Eileen.

Ain't nothing more lazy than a grey, foggy day! But you make your words come to life with your stunning talent; even the fog looks wonderful in your capable hands! Very well done, here's hopin' the sun comes out soon! (And meanwhile, we may get some severe storms here tomorrow afternoon/evening; hope not!)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. ;D

Eileen,
"...how my thoughts take refuge in the damp dawns foggy deluge..." what expression! But you'll never rediscover 'nothingness' you'll go on and on to delight us with your eloquent mind full of great things.

Ah but a walk on a foggy beach or such is really wonderful, waiting for the sun to burn away the fog is as well a blast...(Eileen, look to the east tonight when the moon rises, you won't believe how big it is and how close it looks for some reason...) ed & Rufuz
