ET, poetry is the expression of things that others feel cannot be expressed in words, it is feeling that can be seen as well as felt, and love that goes beyond any definition.

I always tell people that I work to support my habit, being a poet.

It is not easy to describe what it is to be a poet. Perhaps poetry is just a vehicle for our heart to speak...or perhaps a way for some other to speak through us. I cannot explain it, but you have done a good job at explaining the writing part...ahh but to be a poet??? Perhaps that must be left to the perception of others? "I dare not call myself a poet, for fear that someone may expect me to write poetry well" LOL. Nice to read you again, Eileen.

It's good to read your again Eileen. It hasn't been through lack of desire but that I was so caught up in life and didn't have as much time as I would have liked to read the poetry of others. You're a great poet and I hope that this is one poet that 'gets' your work.
