E ver since I was five years old
I sensed the presence of God
L ike children who make believe
E ven sharing meals with them
E verything becomes imaginary
N ever did I have such friends

T he one I whispered to and shared
E verything with was my Creator
R ealizing life through His eyes
E ven though as I grew older I
S hared less time with Him until I
A llowed  temptation to win, and sin

W ith a boy who aroused my passions
A nd soon God was in another dimension
L eft for the hot breath of love, until
D estiny took me to hell and back again
R unning wild in a world of fleeting pleasures
O nly to realize after all the pain, the gain
N eeds God's presence to have any meaning

Hi ET, As I expected you far exceeded your own claim...I read a book called Something More and the author says that a strong woman is a woman with a history and you can't have a history when you're young. You are a strong, blessed woman and every write proves this... stay strong my friend...

In Spirit,
Bear

I feel your insight, many of us went that route, some will admit to it, you painted it with the help of his hand, and great poetry happened. Hugs! Jasmin Horst

I am so amazed at your gift to write so well and excellently put your thoughts across, like this gem of a poem, and then I realize you had the best Teacher in life, God. That explains how you can write this beauty.

Eileen,

This is exquisite. The Creator shines forth through your Gift of poetry. It is a blessing and an honor to know Him, and Him through your lines. Well done.

Those last two lines are a powerful testimony! This poem reminds me of the prodigal son. You know whom the father loved the best. Great response, Eileen!
