sifting through dreams gone by
trying hard not to cry,for the
many that failed leaving a trail
of lonely illusions that pale in
the light of day, washed out by
the sun,and all the hopes undone
turning to those that made it
through, can't satisfy the yearn
for those left in the dust, yet one
must do their best to put to rest
what can never be, and make what
is, a matter of love and harmony
separation of romantic desires from fact is an unpleasant assignment none of us find desirable -- even though they are dreams of he night -- if we could simply retire those dreams of desires ,perhaps it would be easier to aspire to the realities we are capable of -- I very much like and enjoy this poem Eileen -- it highlights the realty of you, a wonderfully creative poet my dear friend -- peace and love -- Jon Michael
engulfed inbetween here and reality I feel reading this, it lulls one into that state, it must be your writing, most profound in it's ending. Hugs! Jasmin Horst

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
