Poem Artwork

life  is so precious  we wonder what sustains it, when it's so tiny and delicate, the odds are against it~ it gives us hope to see things cope~ I don't know if there will be more blooms, but this one white rose, looks so proud standing straight up reaching for the sky I wish I could make it fly into heavenly realms , so it would never have to die

Oh how the heart is touched , by things we love so much, we want them to last forever, yet we know that ties we must sever,in golden glow of sunlights thought, we look upon what life has wrought, and hope the spirit always knows the perfection of one white rose~

The perfection of that rose is matched to the perfection of your praise but the praise will last far longer.

This is beautifully penned, Eileen. It has soft, flowing lines. I like the format, too. Hugs,

I like the almost prose concept of this poem. The message is one that touched my heart today as I commemorate the third anniversary of my mother's passing.

We may have very non-specific ways to express and conceptualise what true perfection is, Eileen, yet we know it when we see it, as with your precious delicate bloom. We do indeed pine that such perfection may endure for but a fleeting moment in its physical state, and yet maybe it's our perspectives that create that image of perfection in our heart, soul and mind, rather than it being something concrete in itself? It this is the case, then the effect of that sense of perfection will last forever. I love the lingering, gentle flow you have chosen for this poem and it's fragrant piquancy - ahh, the thorny barb of the knowledge that this, too, must pass, but your words immortalise... Lovely work, thank you. xx

My favorite rose is the one champagne yellow, without the innocence whites, because she's already finished blushing.

One beautiful work of art deserves another. A rose and a poem, what more can the world ask from life.

But while it lives we should embrace it, love it, and value it all the more, and if necessary nourish its life, give something in return for it's gift of beauty, and all the other wonderful life nourishing things, help them be, I am afraid we, most of us, lost that attitude, judging of what we are doing to all living things.
You bring joy and beauty and great spiritual meaning in this poetry.

Life is precious, that is for sure, Eileen. Nothing says that like a tiny flower, or even weed, trying to grown and fulfill its destiny in the middle of a drought, or other climatic conditions. I have seen, as so have you, life pushing through the cracks of the sidewalk. If THAT doesn't give you pause for thought, you are hopelessly dull.

Eileen,
You touch deep, the perfection and innocence that change changes; all changes, all is lost eventually; we must be grateful for renewal and continuation. I send you one white rose in gratitude.

John
