We all have a fear of somekind and sometimes we don't know what it is until we are faced with it. I have been faced with mine.

Why is it dark and closing in,
What makes us feel the fear?
Why do we feel so all alone,
What makes us shed a tear?

Where are those beautiful voices?
The music and laughter are gone.
Is it the sound of silence,
Please, tell me what's wrong.

For I walk away from loneliness,
It makes me feel so much fear.
Please won't someone speak to me,
Just tell me that you are near.

I need to hear your voice again,
or the words of a beautiful song.
I don't like the sound of silence,
Please don't ever leave me alone.

I want the brighter side of life,
To hear the sounds throughout the day.
I want to speak and be spoken to,
Without silence in the way.
