I awaited the visit where I would meet my dear Cousin and family. At that time, it seemed like forever and now as I write this little poem, I realize the time has come, we have made so many beautiful memories, and now the time has come when we must part our ways. Thank you for one of the most memorable visits in my life. I hope you will always know what it meant to me to meet you and your family, thank you for accepting me.
And Now The Time Has Come
It seemed like just a few short days ago, The biggest smile met with you, So many thoughts had filled my head, Of all the things we'd like to do.
And now the time has come, When we must part our ways, Keeping all those special memories, We've made throughout each day.
I know it may not seem like much, But, you've filled so many dreams for me, You've taken me to so many places, Places, I never thought I'd see.
And now the time has come, When I know we must say good-bye, How could I possibly ask for more, When all I seem to do is cry.
Thank you for accepting me, For that part of you, you've shared, And even though we were but strangers, You showed me how much you cared.
And now the time has come, When I must now set you free, To return once more' where you belong, To your home and family.
There is no such thing as it good bye amongst family...short absences in time and place but love will always bridge the distance. This is a beautiful write that also reflects how much I enjoyed the time we have just shared. Thanks for coming Cuz,
I never say goodbye when leaving friends or family; I just say "See you soon." Perhaps that's wrong, but that's the way I feel. I never say goodbye--too many bittersweet memories of doing that the day my Mom passed. Excellent write!!
My book of poetry is being redone by me, I have a beautiful cover designed and the book will have a few more than 200 poems in it. I am going to have it printed on demand here in Canada. When it is done I will let you know when it is done and if anyo
