I'm On My Way

All my bags are packed,
I'll be gone in the early morning dawn,
My eyes will fill with tears,
As I think of all the time thats gone.

But I know today I'm on my way,
 I'll go back home to my family,
For I haven't all the answers,
For all I need to know or want to see.

I have pictures of all I've seen,
I've met so many along my way,
But tears I know I'll shed,
For I just needed one more day.

One more day to ask you questions,
One more time to see you smile,
One more day, thats all I wanted,
Just one more of all to last a while.

But now I'm on my way,
To the life I left behind,
Before my travels, to meet you,
The special closeness that I found.

I'll let you rest for a day or so,
Before I search a little more,
For all I need to share with you,
With my thoughts and so much more.
