A horrifying thought but fabulous write sis. I am sure we have all had those kinds of terrible dreams at nights and some even while awake. This is another totally different style for you an excellent job.

Quite the picture there to go with the write. Yes there were times I've lived places where it didn't matter how hot the summer was every window in the house had to be closed and locked or I couldn't sleep. always the fear some one would get in. Good write. Lady J

Rose, your voice rings truthful sounds of knowing the fear of the night...the images are great and kept this readers mind reminding me of the many times, as a child, I was afraid to move. Fear when you're young is magnified so much it is unbelieveable. You've captured a great writing here and I'm sure the readers will enjoy and relate to it.

Rose, I know who it is....LOL, psssst it's your darlin Cuz, coz he said so, and I think he's a big meanie running amok around neighbourhoods all hours of the night, fair go!!

Seriously, kids are tormented by shadows, noises and the BOOGIE man.
I recall being so glad when my Parents brought us divan beds, that had drawers in them, so there was no more space, under the bed!!
Still i had to have a nightlight...
I always tell my kids to pray for Gods protection from evil angels during the night..My boys have a Lava lamp, and my girls a night light still!!!
God bless you for this write, our kids need the utmost comfort and reassurance.
