I find myself each night wandering the world of make believe, I think of all whom I have met through the years and those places I have travelled, soon I find myself drifting of to my own little neverland. I travel to anywhere I choose and with anyone I wish for.

Into My Dreams

I rest my head upon my pillow,
As I look back on yesterday.
I long for the people of my past,
Just wishing for one more day.

I think of all the places I've been,
The places I choose to be,
I close my eyes and before I know it,
You are travelling right next to me.

The moon is watching,
As it is all dressed for rest,
Giving me the right to the dreams,
Of what I really like best.

New people to meet,
Different places I need to be,
To fulfill my dreams in life,
For no one, other then me.

Into my dreams you meet me,
Into the still of the night,
Holding me within your arms,
All through the moonlight.

Then morning comes and I awake,
Refreshed as the morning dew,
With fond thoughts and memories,
Of the travels I had with you.

A refreshing and beautiful write my friend, captivated me from the beginning and held my attention to the last word! This reminds me of how I explain the joy of writing to my students...I love to tell them to let their imagination soar, of the magical places that they can visit through their dreams...day or night! You've penned the gift of a writer's imagination well my friend! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Rose, it's amazing how writers can drift to any place they want to and enjoy the beauty they see within our imaginations. You've displayed how dreams can bring back days long gone by and bring them to life. I thought this was a wonderful poem.

it's fascinating to just drift into dream land
Where we can be and see and do
The things we wished and then let those dreams
flow unto a page, for without dreams
I Don't think we have much to write
Dreams turn into beautiful poems like this one I just read
Outstanding Imagery and flow excellent Write!
Love Peace and Joy to you always...Morning star

Dreams are my way of seeing life from the other side, safely to decide if I would really want to be there. A fantasy of what it may be when it will never be. Lady J

I believe that you do actually travel in your dreams.

Great write! Our dreams can often be so real that we feel we were there and can feel every nuance of those dreams. Enjoyed.

Wonderful. We dream of the past that could have been, for man cannot live without dreams. Beautiful poem, so well written. Victor

As the late, great Roy Orbison once sang..."In dreams I walk with you..." and the reality of your poem and his song is such wonderful truth that we are given two of our greatest gifts on earth with the ability to imagine and the ability to dream. Your dreams are truly pleasing and that is the way all dreams should be.
