Just Sometimes

Every now and then we have an off day as others do and we can often look into anothers eyes and see what they are feeling. Those are the times we just wish we could change whatever the problem is so we don't feel like we are being cast aside, even though they don't mean to make us feel that way, just sometimes.

Just Sometimes

Just sometimes I want to put
 my arms around you,
Knowing that you too want
to have me near,
But then I can’t help but get this
strange and cooling feeling,
That just for a day,
You really don’t care.

Just sometimes I shed a tear,
And then I catch myself,
For I really can’t seem
to understand why,
When I think off my life,
Why I would want to cry.

Just sometimes I feel that
something real is missing,
Not knowing just what that may be,
Then I wipe away my tear,
Of the many times I cry,
So you could never see.

Just sometimes I wonder
when I look into your eyes,
What is on your mind,
Sometimes I see hurt and pain,
Wishing I could take it away
To see you happy once again.

Just sometimes.

Powerful! Moving! Sincere! Loving!
These words only begin to capture the emotions that it evoked.
From the bottom [and top] of my heart, Thank you.

This dear sis is a beautiful heartfelt write. It would truly be a wonderful thing if we could only know what our other half is thinking and if they could read our feelings as well but life isn't like that, I wish often that I was a mind reader, no such luck.

Love you sis

You have captured this emotion beautifully. We all know it, and, it is no stranger in our every day life. The wonderful thing is, that every once in a while, we can make that person happy again. thank you for a wonderful poem.

Chris

The human capacity to love and care is stronger in some people than others and I believe what you write here describes that big old heart of yours and your feelings to a tee...but you cannot always look into the soul of another and understand what they are feeling for humans are such complicated creatures that we often do not know ourselves. All you can do is smile and if they ask for a hand, a word or a shoulder be there to offer it. A lot of love in this write Rose...thank you for sharing.

But thank God not always. We can't help feeling like this. Happily it is only sometimes. Fine poem. Victor
