Did I Neglect To Say

Did I forget to tell you dear,
Did I neglect to say,
You are the perfect Mother,
You show your children everyday.
You always know how to treat them,
You seem pleasant all the time,
And I’ve noticed when you discipline,
You even do that kind.

Your eyes they show the pride you hold,
For when you hold them tight,
I know that you are loving them,
With all your might.
I watch you as you play with them,
No such thing as no,
Even when your day was long,
You just go with the flow.

 I watch as you look in their faces,
The love they return to you,
This is their little way of repaying you,
For all the loving things you do.
You work all day & then come home,
Tend to meals, no time alone,
You entertain them with a smile,
Accepting their ways of a child.

Bath time’s near the food is done,
Mom’s run down but the kids want fun,
Soon they’ll lay their heads to sleep,
Won’t hear from them till morning’s peep.
Good morning Mom, it’s time to rise,
Full of energy, still sleep in their eyes,
Exchange kisses and one big smile,
They’re only small for a very shot while.
