I often watch people as they talk about their children and see the pride in their faces, they just glow. They then share the stories of their grandchildren and they’re almost on fire they beam so much. You know they were kind, caring and loving parents and that love was passed onto their kids which will be passed on and on hopefully. Children were given to us a s a gift to love and cherish for a period of time, we don’t know how long we have them or how long they have us. We need to except the joy they will bring into our lives because they are the fuel in our life to fulfill our happiness.
Fuel Up On Pride
There are so many things in life, We should be so thankful for, Our Life partners and family, Wonderful neighbours out next door.
The many challengers life has offered, Our writing skills, the time we share, The many ways we’ve loved through life, That show just how much we care.
We fuel up on pride and joy, When we see where in life we’ve come, Look at our children all grown up, Be very proud at what we’ve done.
We give share a grin from ear to ear, At the beauty which surrounds us, Be ever so thankful to God up above, For the years we’ve made a fuss.
Once again we fuel up on pride, With each grandchild’s birth, Look back on the up’s and down’s, And know how much it all was worth.
Sis this is sweet and so true as we watch how our lives transform from year to year and look back on the beautiful memories and what we have accomplished from a great relationship...our children, grandchildren.

Ahhh Rose as I look at the picture of you, Fred and your two adorable grand kids and read the words you speak. I know that there is a message and a lesson there for all of us but especially me this morning.What surrounds us is a gift that is to be treasured for as long as we can for someday it may be gone and only a beautiful memory left in it's place.

What pride we grandparents have as we see our children carrying on with such wonderful traditions - love, patience, nuturing, giving --- and the list goes on. This beauty is reflected in our grandchildren. We are so blessed.
