Shelby has just started Jr. Kindergarten and just like her folks before her, she now has the desire to be a teacher, where she will teach all she knows to the world. Right now that consists of A B C’s and counting numbers along with her colours. We all remember that first day of school. We felt so grown up and felt we had the world and it was ours and ours alone, well that’s our little Princess today..
Her First Day Of School Dedicated to Shelby
Here we go with that familiar scene, First day of school brings a future dream, Going to teach the world to read and write, Give it her all on a board and chalk of white
A B C’s now repeat after me, Count your numbers One...Two...Three.. Sit in your desk and say not a word, Just watching her motions seems so absorb.
A little child just turning four, A princess indeed, one we all adore, The whole world is hers to share, She wants to be a teacher, one who cares.
Tomorrow will start a brand new day, For now she is busy, a child at play,| A new world awaits for her to explore, Each day begins as she walks out the door.
Today we take time to teach her to love and care, Hoping one day in this world she will share, We pray she’ll grow to be sweet and strong, Keeping others in her heart and mind.
Sis this is a wonderful write and yes she looks so cute sitting on the step with her bag and waiting. It is so sad though to watch them go on their first day, it almost feels like we are losing our babies. Yes I am a wuss.
A wonderful write my friend, enjoyed this very much...indeed the first day of school is a memorable event...I can still recall my first day of kindergarten...ready to take the world by storm! I too always dreamed of being a teacher, I am thankful daily for the opportunity to live out my dream inside my classroom! Bravo, I'm sure she will be a great teacher someday!

Awwwwwww what a cutie! I pray all goes well for Shelby. Not all children receive such a special "First Day Going To School Day" present: a (((HUG))) is nice, but these will linger forever. Well done!
As I read this, I was remembering when my children started school. As a Mom I had mixed emotions - wondering if they'd be ok away from home, and excited to see their world expand. Your 2nd to the last stanza is acknowledging the present with an eye on what the future has in store.
Shelby will treasure this as she gets older knowing that you wished her well and how much you love her.
You have an incredible heart!
